Small-scale, multi-parallel bioreactors provide more process information for culture comparison in less time. Multiple experiments can assess different clones or cell lines, as well as the effects of pH, temperature, feeding, media, gassing rates and inoculation densities.
Ambr® multi-parallel bioreactors can handle your upstream process steps, from clone or cell line selection to process optimization, ensuring scalability because process data translates well into the 2L Univessel® SU and larger Biostat STR® systems.
Available Models
Ambr® 15 Cell Culture generation 2 is a high throughput, automated bioreactor system for 24 or 48 parallel cultivations at the 10 –15 mL microbioreactor scale. This platform enables selection of the best clones, media and feeds under small-scale bioreactor conditions, ensuring a seamless scale-up. Implemented in Cell Line Development (CLD) laboratories worldwide, Ambr® 15 Cell Culture makes experimentation more cost effective by saving on labor, facility space, capital, media and consumables.

The Ambr® 250 High Throughput system is a high throughput, automated bioreactor system for process development with 12 or 24 fully featured single-use 100 – 250 mL mini bioreactors.

Ambr® 250 High Throughput Perfusion is a parallel bioreactor system for rapid development of scalable perfusion processes using 100 – 250 mL single-use bioreactors and a fully automated liquid handling platform.
The system supports the typical range of hollow fibre cell retention applications, with up to 24 fully single-use perfusion bioreactors in parallel. This step-change in perfusion process development capability dramatically accelerates the optimization of intensified cell culture processes leading to lower production volumes and reduced cost of goods.
The system is capable of running in perfusion culture or fed-batch mode, depending on the type of ambr bioreactors installed, ideal for a wide range of biopharma and industrial biotech applications such as:
