    The CA-31 is equipped with a 5.7-inch color LCD touch panel which enables the user to operate practically manual-free, and all necessary information visible in one view.

    Users can choose between a conventional 2-solution setup with fritted cathode solution cell, or a single solution configuration with fritless cathode. Optional reagent dispensing system can be utilized with the fritless cathode solution cell and automate the replacement of reagent.

    Numerous vaporizers from the Mitsubishi product line-up can be connected to the CA-31 to accommodate difficult to dissolve samples such as powders, pellets, pastes, lubricants, etc. By connecting Mitsubishi’s model VG-200 to CA-31, liquefied gas samples can also be measured easily.

    PC software TV-31 will enable users to collect measurement results from CA-31 and prepare reports with titration charts, parameters, calculation formula, etc. in Microsoft Word® or Excel® format. A USB keyboard can be connected to the CA-31 for easier input of sample names. For users who prefer not to use the touch panel, it is possible to control all functions of the instrument from the USB keyboard.

    This versatile CA-31 is not just a valuable lab equipment, but also best suited for use in the field. With optional battery and carrying case, the instrument can be carried to and used in any location in the field, wherever the sampling is being done.

    The instrument can be purchased together with Mitsubishi’s Aquamicron® series of Karl Fischer reagents ranging from conventional 2-solution type, single solution type for fritless cell, and special formulas for oils and ketones. These reagents are developed together with the instruments for the best combined performance.

    For over 25 years Cosa-Mitsubishi has been considered the gold standard in Coulometric Karl Fisher Titration. Now the KF-200 continues the legacy for Volumetric Karl Fischer, providing the user the ultimate in simplicity, ease of use and flexibility for both Karl Fischer and Potentiometric Titration. The airtight, two piece titration cell provides near zero background levels of moisture. The incorporation of the optional Model KFESD Solvent Dispensing and Evacuation Unit enables hands free draining and refilling of the titration cell.     The flexible design ensures optimal performance and is operational within minutes, providing accurate analyses for Total Carbon (TC), Total Inorganic Carbon (TIC), TOC, Non-Purgeable Organic Carbon (NPOC), and TN. As an additional option, the concentration of Nitrate and Nitrite (NN) can be measured which results in a true alternative to the Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen (TKN) method (TKN = TN – NN).     The measurement of TC, TOC, TEC, and TIC is based on high-temperature catalytic combustion with Non-Dispersive Infrared detection (NDIR). The temperature settings are variable and a special temperature ramping program allows the analysis of TEC, according to DIN 19539. The TN/Protein analysis is based upon DUMAS methodology and detection with Thermal Conductivity (TCD). TIC can also be determined separately using automatic acidification and purging. All systems come with a practical and flexible software package, with pre-installed method files, user-definable sample table set up, integrated QC features, etc.

    The analyzer contains a large integrated 100 position autosampler with a unique vertical sample introduction system. The sample ashes remain in the crucible after the analysis and are taken out to the instrument with the removal of the crucible. This avoids sample ash build-up in the combustion zone and therefore reduces maintenance.

    DiscovIR’s unique temperature controlled, vacuum deposition method ensures that results are accurate and reproducible. Eluted peaks are first deposited in a film on to a rotating IR transparent disc. Next, an infrared beam passes through each concentrated spot and the detector automatically collects spectral data.
